Arguably, my favourite character appears to be Chanda/Leni. Not because of the obvious victimisation of her situation, but the beautiful symbolisation used with this particular character. Her wearing a "Betty Boop" t-shirt dress while her mms was released, Betty being a significant mattress lady in her own show. Leni choosing to cover her mouth with her scarf while she went for a walk because she knew that the public was ridiculing her for the oral sex she had given in the mms and perhaps, her not wanting people to visualise her doing the same.
More symbolisation occurs when we see Leni's father taking his life via shooting himself in the mouth, Leni disgusted that her own father views her in a sexual manner and ultimately, her turning hyper sexual despite her prudent innocence just to feel less hollow about her life. Overall this movie gave a deluding yet satisfactory redeeming arc to both Dev and Chanda, a fairy tale esque nod to the entire reality stricken movie.
