Monster
"If only some people can have it, that's not happiness. That's just nonsense. happiness is something anyone can have."
this was so fucking beautiful. a slow burn film that isnt abt finding who's the villain, bc the real villain here is society's heteronormative assumptions, n why heteronormativity can rlly affect a person n how they shape the way people judge what they dont understand. this film rlly shows how damaging those expectations can be especially for children trying to figure out their identities.
i love how they use different perspectives of different characters, how important it is to view things from other perspectives. seeing things through different eyes makes you realize how easily we misjudge. it reminds us that the truth isnt always one-sided.
"u were always normal"
