saltburn meets good time. what a ride. best cast of characters i think ive seen all year — they’re all incredibly consistent throughout, and yet your opinion of each changes over time as you learn more. the two goons! toros! ani and ivan! the candy shop kids! diamond! literally every relevant character is a great addition. laugh out loud funny — ill mention this in the same breath as the nice guys — one of my top non animated funny flicks ever. the dialogue! the language-play! so much levity, but is also plot relevant! the language (im)precision definitely plays a key role in the shifting of ani’s mindset. really creative script work here and is a huge part of the movies overall success. the creativity! this has GOT to be an original script, and ive never heard of this director — but boy did this take from left field land. a breath of fresh air to see such a movie made. (subtle spoilers below) and wow that ending… walking back from the theater with sarish karan and liam we all came to appreciate it so much more. she’s hurt, she needs a breather and love, and she’s about to walk back into her apartment… and we know the energy in there. and so she thanks igor in the way she knows how. only L i can hand this thing is that the soundtrack sucked
