Im not a star wars fan. The only thing I've seen before this was the first two seasons of mandalorian when I was super young and I thought they were fine. One of the reasons why i really like this show is how it manages to be thrilling with well written characters whilst also being a very accurate portrayal of grassroots rebellion. The entire first season showing us the evil of the empire and the radicalisation of cassian through some unbelievably gripping storylines (the aldhani heist and the narkina prison break) and ending with rix road. Season 2 condenses the next 4 seasons into one (time constraints) yet still manages to set up empire propoganda, ties in all the plotlines from season one (ghorman, the fragile rebellion, mothmas daughters wedding, the money laundering plotline etc) and gives some unbelievably heartbreaking character ends (luthen, kleya, Andor etc. an argument can be made for Cyril and dedra) TLDR, the show ties in its plothreads along with characters almost flawlessly (taking it's sweet time) and it's like watching history unfold (all the events in the show were loosely based on real rebellions etc)
