Kill la Kill
I had started watching Kill La Kill some time last year and had a few other shows I put more of my time into. Now I’ve finally got around to finishing this up. I sound like such an armature with those statements because it’s only 24 episodes... but oh well.
What attracted me to it most was the crazy rouged art style it has and so unlike most “traditional” anime get ups. Though in the first half or so of the season everything is highly repetitive with the story and it lost my interest many times. The second half of the season though is definitely where the highlights of Kill La Kill are fleshed out. As soon as the story switched directives with its twists and new characters, I was in. The continually compounding action settings and new “advancements” were outrageously hilarious but also fun to watch. If you’ve watched the show you would know the subject matter and premise are a bit unexpected at first but as it goes along you’re in for a ride. Really unique and funny entourage of characters though they many sometimes follow common tropes they each had something I really liked. This isn’t really going to be something I think that will stick out to me as a story goes but I will remember the look of everything for sure. Mako = best character, change my mind.
