Samurai Champloo

This was pretty great. Being my first anime I’ve completed, which isn’t saying much—it being only 26 episodes, I had a wonderful time watching this. The style, music, tone, and charming characters all were to be a shoe-in as some real original content I could get into. Granted, I’m only starting to delve into the industry of anime, so if the tropes in this series aren’t necessarily unique then I stand corrected. Regardless, Samurai Champloo is quite underrated and deserves more hype. This was recommended to me by a classmate in one of my lectures among other anime I’m starting to watch, but this was definitely one to remember. It being made and released in roughly 2005 was surprising seeing as how new it looks. There doesn’t seem to be any hope for a new season and that is totally fine with me because I wouldn’t want one anyways. Also, I’ve been rating things pretty high lately, maybe it’s time I watch something shitty haha. As Jin would say, “Hmm”
