Arrival

The originality of having an alien invasion portrayed like THIS is enough for me to love the film. The pacing was incredible to the point where I lost track of time while watching it and felt that I could honestly rewatch it immediately after. I am not a fan of Renner as an actor and this is no exception, his scenes slightly brought me out of the film at times. Forest Whitaker was great as always, but Amy Adams, my God. She is incredible in this.. like better than she has ever been. Denis really is just that good of a director, I love all of this work, for the most part. I do plan on watching this a lot more often going forward and maybe bumping it up even higher in the future. Denis Villeneuve Ranked My Top Films of the 2010’s
