Squid Game

season 2 when i read that one of the main characters of this season was going to be a trans woman played by a cis man i had mixed feelings. nevertheless, after watching all the episodes i'm genuinely happy and surprised about how well portrayed hyunju is. she's literally the best part of the season. it would've been wonderful if the character would've been played by a trans actress but i get that the lgbtq+ community is extremely marginalized in korea so it's truly difficult to find an openly trans woman who would've been able to risk her well-being. all that being said, she carried this whole season and i would've loved to know better the new characters like why tf did they focus so much on the one we already knew 😭😭 i don't care about that man, i'm sorry!
