finished another rewatch today 🕺🕺🕺 I know I’ve said this before but I just notice more and more details in the background, in the music, in the dialogue, EVERYTHING with every rewatch. God this movie is so brilliant and I am FIENDING for more James Sweeney projects Also huge kudos to this movie for featuring a likely autistic woman who is very social and very sweet / personable, but who also has incredible emotional intelligence and sets strong boundaries. Usually, these honey-dripping-sweet women are written to be emotional punching bags (which is, unfortunately, often true to life), but Marcie is such a force of good and continually reminds the audience that you can be kind and strong.
