The Thing

i had thought my palate for other worldly creatures terrorizing a research base in one of the poles was satisfied with The Thing From Another World, but I was wrong. The Thing is a terrifyingly accurate depiction of human paranoia at its peak, and one of the most effective horror movies ever made. the practical effects are subpar to none, and added a level of realism that isn't present in modern day body horrors. (god we need to get back to practical) i didn't think there was much more you could bring to this concept, john carpenter said, watch this. phenomenal top to bottom.
