Superman

A superhero film that gives you the emotions and positive energy you should feel after one. ESPECIALLY a superman movie. Movie makes me want to be the best version of myself.  Hope is exactly what this movie feels like during and after. The film looks like it’s being pulled out a comic with its vibrant colours and bold use of characters and locations.  David Corenswet embodies Superman and Clark Kent. He’s so loveable and kind and so heroic. He’s what superman should be, he’s an idol and a symbol of hope. He stands for doing good even if those around him refuse it. HE HAS CHARACTER (unlike other iterations).  Lex Luthor is so insanely hateful it’s honestly hilarious. Nicolas Hoult gives such an incredible performance. At least we know he’s a button masher on fighting games after that 1A moment.   Need to talk about the flag scene. My god. The score. The kids holding up the flag. The chanting of superman it’s just so powerful.  Then possibly one of the best moments I’ve ever seen in a superhero film. When the building is about to fall on a woman’s car and he catches it and rises from the ashes. Cinema.  James Gunn. The power is in your hands and I couldn’t be more excited.
