The Batman

(Repost of original review because it literally sums it up perfectly for me again) Can’t believe my last re watch was 2 years ago though. Made it even better watching it with such a gap. I think it was the best time for me to rewatch it whilst I’m in such a mood for it because I forgot just how much I adore this movie and this re watch has heightened my love for it somehow. My god what a perfect Batman film. The absolute robbery of this not winning OR EVEN GETTING NOMINATED for best cinematography is heartbreaking because it’s gorgeous. Original Review: Perfect. Perfect. Perfect. This was a Batman film like we’ve never seen it and it was crafted with passion. This was everything I wanted it to be and somehow more. First of the sound production was fucking incredible and the score is already just Legendary. Visually the movie is stunning and I want to frame so many shots in this movie. This felt like a true batman film. The narration in different parts of the film was just perfect and felt like I was reading his thoughts like a comic. I loved how much closer we connected to batman in this film, and Robert Pattinson is without a doubt my favourite batman now as he gave a perfect performance. As did everyone in the cast. Everyone was incredible. The Detective noir feel to the film was a perfect choice rather than just a fast paced punching fest. So many nods to Fincher but without it feeling tacky. Everything just worked for this. I loved every second of this movie.
