Nightcrawler

unfortunately, one of the best movies I’ve ever seen because1. I hate Jake Gyllenhaal as an actor and2. his character is the worst person ever and gets everything he wants and more. despite that, I still was enthralled waiting to see how far he could push the story and how much it would take for someone to intervene. HUGE SPOILER the way he murders a cop in the first five minutes is the kindest thing he does in this movie. END SPOILER as someone who has always appreciated the technical aspects of filming like framing, lighting, composition i felt like a freak by association of this bigger freak.
