Dunkirk
while going through christopher nolan’s films I’d been putting dunkirk off. I’ve never been a huge fan of war films but this movie astounded me. the casting was wonderful, and it didn’t rely on heavy gore to have a wonderful and gripping storyline. the soundtrack really did a lot for this movie and the cinematography was amazing, overall a wonderful film and every storyline had me hooked from the very beginning. it was unique in that way, a mixture of the explosive, raw horrors of war but also the quieter interactions, both sad and inspiring which was really a standout of this film. wish I saw it earlier but I’m glad I watched it in the end!
