I liked it I really did, but for me I just can’t say it’s not the worst yet, it’s a great 80s film, where nothing means anything, it’s funny, heroic, but for a rocky film and what we’re used to, there’s nothing new here, and there’s no real wow moment when rocky won, I didn’t believe he was gonna win, but when I saw him start to, there wasn’t this moment like there has been for every other movie. I feel for Ivan, he’s a puppet for a political fight rather than an actual fighter, basically forced to train like a machine, with no recognition of his hard work, but him as a villain or whatever he’s supposed to be viewed as, seems a bit bland for me. Sure clubber lang last movie was basically a comic book character, but the emotional core of Rocky’s camp and story with Apollo and Adrian and micky made up for it. Here, Apollos story doesn’t add anything, and feels a bit cheesy like how has he died in an amateur fight why have they not stopped that. Yeah Adrian is just chilling here, and I don’t feel the drive for rocky to win this one, it felt meaningless.
