Nosferatu
i always loved gothic horror film/novella since i was young (i myself am a trad goth) and I really love this movie.. I love the aesthetic of the whole movie, and how perfectly saturated the visuals are, the grimy, dark blue hue that gives such a haunting vibe to it.. the juxtaposition and composition are perfectly done.. this film managed to capture that dark atmosphere that is essential in any gothic fable.. story-wise, I thought it was solid.. I love how the plot was presented, the characters are well-written enough for me to care and I thought the whole "plague" bit of the film was really creative! I love the themes of passion, yearning in the film, but my critique will be the sex scene in the last 30 minutes of the film, it's not that I thought it was unnecessary for a gothic film, it's just the way it was shown that got me off for some reason.. I personally think the scene was a bit too.. rough? like when I think of gothic film, the sexual scene will mostly be depicted in a more slow soft tone, it's all about subtlety and also we need more passion and yearning..I felt like the scene was there for the sake of smut.. but overall I really enjoy the film.. the ending absolutely broke me and I would love to watch it again🖤 9/10 ✨
