Better Days

Now look I don’t swear often..BUTHOLY %#@$ THIS WAS AN INCREDIBLE FILM! I am lost with where to begin talking about this movie, so I guess I’ll start with the overall story.I don’t want to discuss  too much of the actual story because I very strongly believe that if anyone hasn’t seen this movie then they should, and I think it’s best to enter this film without knowing too much.I will say, however that this is a very moving film that is very very VERY sad for most of the run time.  But it does have a very important message about bullying that is illustrated beautifully.  If you are prone to cry during a movie than this one will definitely get you.  This film takes place before the main character’s big final that dictates is they get into a good university, and it is literally so friggin intense!I started to get paranoid for the protagonists final it was that well shot and illustrated!Also let me just say the twist in this movie… 😫👌 so perfect and so brutal I totally love it! One thing that shocked me was how perfect paced this movie is.  I literally paused the film to get a snack thinking that there was around 20 minutes left, but I was totally blown away when I found I was just barely halfway through!  I think it is really all thanks to the editing, there is one montage in specific that is really something truly spectacularIf you’ve seen the film you know what I’m talking about. My expectations for cinematography in this film was not very high.  I expected it to look like an average film. Boy was I wrong!This movie is an explosion of fine cinematography!Every.  Single.  Scene.  Is. Breathtaking!There was so many moments where I audibly gasped at the beauty of some scenesProbably the best cinematography of the film in my opinion can be found in the montage I spoke about earlier Specifically the fish tank and all the motorcycle scenes are spectacular.  I can not over exaggerate how beautiful this film is. Just watch it!!! The score in this film was just above average, but it did help carry the intensity during the testing scenes and the emotional scenes (which there are a lot of)Most of the score was pretty soft and sorrowful which was fitting, but nothing that I would listen to outside of this film. Finally, probably the most incredible park of this movie.  The acting.  This movie completely rests on the incredible acting of the two main characters.  Without the god-like acting by the two young actors, this movie wouldn’t even be a fraction of how good it is!  They show such powerful emotions and perform these characters so well they feel completely real!In total 100% honesty this might be the best performances I’ve ever witnessed in all of film. Story: 10/10Pacing: 10/10Cinematography: 10/10Score: 8.5/10Acting: 10/10 Overall Score: 10/10  Conclusion:Better days was an incredibly well shot and written film, with an important lesson and a captivating story that is entertaining and beautiful for every frame!Not only is does it look great, but the acting is absolutely tremendous! Definitely recommend to anyone who is willing to watch!
