The Doom Generation is the quintessential American film, and the closest I've seen a film come to perfect. It manages to combine all my favourite elements of indepent US cinema: alienation, violence, capitalist critiques and satire against a neon streaked backdrop of shoegaze. Manages to say so much in such a short runtime with mass amounts of symbolism and subtle beauty. Flawless. Must watch.
