I think this is actually a somewhat success, given that it had to be a direct sequel to a long dead and mostly bad franchise, while also being new/modern, *and* function as a pretty good Christ allegory. The casting across the board is actually pretty perfect and its biggest crime is that it just doesn't ever quite click into a groove that fully works. But again...neither did any of the originals if you ask me. Pretty respectable effort tbh.

It's Sorrentino Summer and it's also the 2015 Nostalgia Tour Very meaningful to me, obviously, and very beautiful. I admire how kind of clumsy it is. Not sure how else to put it. If it were more coherent, it would be counterintuitive to the overall thrust. Will likely be lost to time, which is also fitting.

For a movie famous for being bad, this isn't any worse than the other ones and it's a half hour shorter! Nuclear Man sucks, yes, but the rest is the same old same old. Double date gag! Lex Luthor on a chain gang! Mariel Hemingway and her dad doing The Newsroom. What's your problem? I also find it very funny that in all of these, they're like 'yeah we love good ole Metropolis! By the way, here's the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, the Twin Towers, and the Chrysler Building over and over and over again!'

I wouldn't mind this being a pseudo-comedy if it was ever funny
