This has been high on my watchlist for a while now, and MAN did it deliver. My new favorite Cate Blanchett role. That woman could carry the moon on her back. Absolutely magical stuff. The direction in the longer, drawn out sequences is mind boggling. Runtime is matched well with the density of the film, not the pacing. It’s slow, and it’s long, yet it’s gripping. Beautifully cold visuals throughout as well. Small side note, but seeing misophonia represented in a movie is AWESOME. As a sufferer of it, I had chills. Joker + Parasite (+ Whiplash) is an entirely convoluted and oversimplified way to describe the film, but you can totally see it during and after watching. The ending is a trip (not how you expect)
