ppl see robots and parrot wall-e like a toddler yelling out a color they recognize. do you guys have no capability of interpreting new storytelling symbolisation without making elementary level comparisons.
the movie’s a great commentary on both the evolution of AI and on our own humanity. it was interesting to see how difficult it was for AI to understand humanity because their only sources were humans under observation behaving for an audience, they had no access to actual human nature.
on the other hand, it’s also sentimental to wonder what would be left of us after we’re gone, what little touches of humanity do we leave behind in our technology that makes us unique to other life forms out there that would create their own “technology”.
i enjoyed the movie’s concept a lot, and had a good time watching the movie. with only two cast members and a premise with little mystery, they did a good job of keeping you engaged and entertained.
