Hamnet
on the nature of daylight by max richter at the scene of the crime everytime.
this movie is just filled with chloe zhao’s humanness but her way of creating this celestial energy that’s also incredibly grounded is remarkable. the visuals are so so effective and the natural world is such a giant force in this, almost otherworldly.
narratively, its potent with heart. the grief and loss experienced by everyone is all written so incredibly. these great great actors, i cherish deeply. jessie buckley delivers a heart-wrenching performance that just nips at your heart by the end. jacobi jupe is so endearing to watch and deserves all the awards you could possibly give him.
i could not stop myself from sniffling and wiping away my tears as they kept falling from whereever i’ve been storing them for months. this is the first time i’ve been able to cry to a good movie in awhile.
