Blade Runner 2049

I remember approaching this film with hopeful optimism. Blade Runner has always forever held a warm spot in my heart. With it being so clouded with nostalgia and history, it was nearly impossible for me to like Villeneuve's sequel. Yet Denis has pulled off the impossible, crafting a sequel that reaches the levels of the original and even surpasses it. Blade Runner 2049 may not yet have the iconic status of the original, but in time it will.
