Leave No Trace
This film is beautiful in every aspect. From the soft, humble cinematography to the gorgeous locations, Leave No Trace is a pleasure to watch. However, that is not what will stay with you after watching this film. It is the intimate relationship between father and daughter, slowly shown and developed not through dialogue and prose but through the subtle looks and quiet moments. I did not watch Ben Foster and Thomasin McKenzie in this film. I saw a father, trying his best to do right by his daughter while trying to shield his personal demons, and a daughter, who loves her father but is slowing trying to find her own path. This was a powerful emotional experience that everyone should undergo.
