Rushmore
idk how to explain it but this movie makes me so gushy like it’s kind of stupid on the surface level but it also cuts so deep for me like acknowledging that when you’re young you take everything really seriously and you’re embarrassed of your home and your parents, and then one day, down the line, you realize that the people you think you loved you were actually just a little enamored by, but they can still teach you something beautiful. and your parents really are looking out for you, and then everything is okay. and you’re dancing to the words “I wish I knew what I know now, when I was younger” and suddenly you’re 22 in your first apartment and you’re crying but it’s awesome.
