Ken Russell's gonzo direction. David Watkin's cleverly frenetic cinematography. Derek Jarman's modernist medieval set design. Whatever the fuck Vanessa Redgrave is doing. People (men) in power will do whatever they need (ie: want) to stay in power. A tale as old as time. However, I don't think it's ever been told with an orgy of hysterical nuns. INSANE that Warner Bros. would fund a movie like this in the '70s. Now they make A Minecraft Movie. THE PEOPLE NEED THIS ON 4K!!
