Carrie
Why are 70s horror movies so perfect? Sissy Spacek transits with ease between a shy scaredy girl, innocently enamored in a fairytale-like prom dance with the apparent love of her life (a moment graciously captured by a continuous 360 camera movement) and a stern force of nature, her eyes seeming to pierce you just by staring. The movie, starting of with classic De Palma's signature pet peeves like split diopters or sharp colors, bursts out alongside its title character in the final act of the movie, in an unforgettable climax. The kind of movie anyone with some kind of religious or school trauma will feel like it's some kind of vindication. Either a cry of help from them or a warning against anyone who tries to disturb their peace. So yeah, basically the first installment of the GFHCU (Good For Her Cinematic Universe)
Carrie deserved better
