Gladiator

What a beautiful way to start this new year Maybe Blade Runner hits a bit closer to home, but this is also a masterpiece from Ridley Scott. One of those films you watch when you're younger, you like it, but only grasp its true impact when you grow up (at least in my case). Also, it is funny I watched it right after the Hunger Games marathon, since they share similar themes, even though they execute it quite differently. Gladiator is the best one, obviously, but maybe it is unfair to compare a YA saga with an epic by Ridley Scott on his prime.
