The Matrix

This was 11-year-old me's favorite movie. 11-year-old me was based AF. Well, what can I say? From the start, you can see how much its style (either by the costume design, the soundtrack and, even the now-classic fight sequences) has kickstarted a cultural reset, alongside its themes and philosophy (unfortunately hijacked by alt-right movements. But you know what? I don't blame them, this movie is bonkers). I could write a thesis about this movie (just like many people have already done it), but I'll stick with the predominant impression this movie left me: the world is a mind battle, and we are only limited by what we believe in. I wish Speed Racer got as much recognition as this movie rightfully got.
