About Time
I stumbled onto this one during covid when i had a lot of free time on my hands and i picked an actor and started watching each of their movies one by one. I usually moved onto a new actor when i got bored of the previous. With about time, i was on a rachel mcadams binge. I watched it for rachel mcadams, and stayed for the whole cast. Domhnall gleeson, massively underrated. Bill nighy, charismatic. Vanessa kirby (i cant wait to watch eden) AND margot robbie, i mean cmon, do you want me to pass out.? Into my arms and the whole soundtrack is perfect.
But other than all of that, the film is not just a romcom or a love story. Its also a son saying goodbye to his dad and taking one last walk with him at the beach, it is a lesson to live life one day at a time.
Richard curtis leaves you with a smile on your face, leaves you believing in love that feels like magic, and that love is a beautiful mess - every fucking time
