Evil Dead

“Groovy.”  91/100I chose Evil Dead’s remake for my 50th horror logged, it’s also my first watch on a “new streaming platform” I can watch 100 free sony movies for free because of ps plus. Very solid remake, some noticeable ‘issues’ I saw though or just stuff would be near the end I think Mia should’ve been dirty also the way the deadites attack are really stiff. I can really appreciate Alvarez’s franchise films  but they have much repetitive content. Im a huge fan of both Evil Dead and Alien I love every evil dead film put out so far, I can’t agree with Alien because of 3 resurrection and both avps. I love the story for this and also the heavy use of practical effects, the characters honestly have any more character than anyone besides Ash in any of the first three movies which just makes those first three films so much more “in charecter” I think. Romulus and Evil Dead feel written so poorly in the fact that there’s no really good lines because the best ones are either just repeated lines or are re written. Jane Levy is a very nice lead in this and I like Mia (her character) a lot.
