Avengers: Endgame
As far as incoherent nonsense goes it’s pretty good. The beginning is very solid, showing each character, the middle is sort of slow and the ending picks up and is extensive. It’s very tonally inconsistent, but had some dark and/or emotional gems laid throughout. It was a pretty good conclusion and the ending was pretty good. The character interactions are hit or miss and the movie is only at its best when it leans into a darker tone, which doesn’t happen very often and is clouded by the comedic nonsense. I should also note I’m not super high on this movie as some of the character decisions are incoherent and more or less character assasinaitons. But, to be fair, some are also really good. There was a pretty good, tough and menacing villain and the movie did have quite a bit of hype moments. It’s also pretty long which makes it feel very complete and full. The sense of spectacle is deeply entrenched and is very nice and enjoyable, and the ending was still nonsense, but pretty fun and somewhat emotional and satisfying. Another huge flaw is because of the amount of characters, the main ones barely interact and when they do it’s quick or drowned by comedy. It had and was a pretty good ending and conclusion.
