Django Unchained
He shot the fucking brains out the horse... that’s fucking nuts.
But it’s really late and I don’t want to write a lot so it’ll be a couple things:
I think Christopher Waltz knocked it our the fucking park. Might be hard for some to hear but I do think think this was the better performance between Inglorious Bastards and Django Unchained.
Jamie foxx gave a strong performance as well giving us such a Defined character. Love his flare for the dramatics.
Sam L stands out to me as well. Honestly got lost in his character and completely forgot it was him acting. Love that
I think Quentin has a weird obsession with racism and the N word. Idk if he just thinks is important to see the badly our history of this nation is tainted with hate, or if he just really likes the word.
I wanted the story of Sigfried to be more prevalent in the way we see Django rescue Broomhilda, but all I really noticed was the walking through “hell” fire. Maybe I missed it but he was supposed to climb a great mountain (maybe that was his journey to get to candy land?) and also slay the dragon (who I guess resembles the plantation being destroyed). So I guess never mind Bc it was there you just gotta look for it.
