The majority of this movie is just the characters aura farming. This is a quintessential Tarantino film, if you showed this to a blind, deaf caveman even he would know this was written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. Now I liked this film a lot even though me and Tarantino don’t see eye to eye on his films. For me, his stuff is hit or miss, this one is a hit although his acting in this one was embarrassingly bad, like why in the fuck did he have an Australian accent. That part is so weird and the acting is horrible, it almost felt like a parody. Another complaint is the pacing can be a bit draggy, Quentin loves his long drawn out dialogue and sometimes I don’t, this is true in this film as well. Now where he his the nail on the head is with characters, the characters that he wrote for this film are phenomenal. I can’t pick a bad character out, they do what they are supposed to do in the film. If you’re supposed to love them or hate them, you do. The set designs were great, you really feel like you’re in the past, the sets go tandem with the phenomenal costumes. They were both swagger amwith a hint of old school, loved them. It’s also got a good amount of dark and fucked up humor which I quite enjoyed. The cinematography was different, I’m still a bit on the fence if I liked it or not, it’s definitely different. Sometimes the music was perfect for the scene and other times it wasn’t like some of the rap parts were weird, I also hate when he abruptly ends the music so many different times, it’s kind of annoying. Overall one of my favorite Tarantino films that I will rewatch.
