Star Wars
10/10 masterpiece
Im so suprised ive never properly seen these films before but im honestly glad im watching them now that im older as i appreciate so much more about them. The main thing about this film is its jaw dropping production design, all the practical locations and ships left me in absolute awe, the Millenium Falcon and the Death Star in particular are absolutely breathtaking, the backgrounds and how it depicts space in the film are so beautiful, the entire thing is js an awesome spectacle and it’s so insanely impressive for its time. Aswell as this the world George Lucas built for this film is so awesome and it’s so fun to explore with lots of lore behind it. The Plot is absolutely brilliant and I was hooked all the way through the film and all the main characters despite being polar opposites of one another are so iconic and bounce of eachother so well. And ontop of all this John Williams orchestrates one of the best scores to ever grace cinema. Aswell as this the film has some heavy anti-dictatorship messaging and we love some of that.
Js an absolutely amazing film I can’t wait to watch the Empire Strikes Back because I wanna see how it’s gonna top this masterpiece
