The Raid

The strongest 9/10 I can possibly give  Absolutely incredible action film, the fight scenes are the best I’ve ever seen, the villains are awesome, the main characters are great and especially Iko Uwais  has an amazing performance. I learnt while watching the film that there is absolutely no stunt doubles in this and all the stunts were performed by the actors which is just awesome. This film is not shy about its violence and it leads to some super tense and uncomfortable moments (in the best way possible) aswell as some awesome WTF kills. It’s also incredibly shot and extremely well edited at points which is very impressive for such a low budget indie international film. The film does not waste your time at all it’s a relatively short feature length packed full of action that doesn’t over rely on its plot  The first half is not amazing but it geniunely does not matter because the second half is an absolute riot, I wasn’t a fan of the music and think maybe the film could’ve gone without, it’s pretty inappropriately used at points  However most normal people will not pick up on that so it doesn’t even matter. This is a wild, extremely well made and outrageously entertaining action film I think anyone can get behind, this is a great step into foreign film if you’ve wanted to see some great international features. This is the pinnacle of Over-The-Top, fun, action films
