A fun little tale that turns into one trippy nightmare. The rotoscope animation is stunning and truly feels at home with itself.

I know plenty of people have seen the assembly cut, it came out in 2003 for Christ sake but please... for God's sake, watch the assembly cut if you haven't and hate this film. This is the ONLY Alien sequel to carry on the hopeless tone of the original. At the end of the day I find it more fitting than Aliens.

Imagine a world where we don't have to always stay on brand. No Republicans vs Democrats, no Marvel vs DC, no Coke vs Pepsi, no red pill vs blue pill and not just male or female. No binaries. The only reason binaries are created are to cause divide. This is the warning Resurrections poses and people are already falling right into the trap. So while its not "on brand" and yeah, the action isn't as good, I still find everything it has to say to be true and pure. If you hated it I implore you to watch it again.

9 is the most efficient 90 min movie ever. It builds an entire post-apocalyptic world and establishes flawed and likeable characters in such a short period of time. It's a stunning and overlooked animated feature that breaks through its formulaic setting quite quickly.
