Sinners

Watching this in a packed crowd felt like being at an anniversary screening of a classic because they just don't make popcorn movies like Sinners anymore. Its an excellent use of a horror formula we've all seen but executed with wholly unique auteurism from dir. Ryan Coogler. With a musical number for the history books and a final 20 minutes that will have you cheering, Sinners is an unforgettable ride. Seeing it in IMAX 70mm was insane. My only note is that the mid-credits scene belongs at the front of the credits, seeing how its the conclusion of the entire story.
