Yi Yi

What can you even say about a film like Yi Yi. Anything I say here is doing it a disservice, it deserves to be watched, to be experienced almost. Because for those 2hrs and 53 minutes, I was feeling everything on that screen. Truly a masterpiece in every sense of the word, each character felt so real, their experiences feel lived in, it’s all just so beautiful. Yang-Yang and Mr Ota are my personal heroes. How could an 8 year old be so observant about the life at such a young age. Truly mesmerising stuff.
