Poor Things
Much much better on a rewatch. For one I didn’t eat a calzone before hand that gave me a fucking stomach ache so that really helped. This was my first Yorgos when I watched it on release, but now rewatching it while having seen almost everything in his filmography, it makes this much more enjoyable. The dark comedic elements that he’s mastered at this point (bugonia especially), really shines when you understand him and what he’s doing. I think I wasn’t in the exact headspace and stomach space when I first saw this but now I can confidently say it’s one of his best and up there closely behind The Favourite. Great film
