Sucker Punch

If this was a little less male gaze-y, I think I'd have found this to be perfect. The originality and action in this is magnificent, as well as the music. The overall style in this is what made so great for me, but I can definitely see the reason behind some of the complaints towards the sexualisation, because again, this movie had some killer potential to be a bad-ass, feminist blockbuster with a sense of creativity behind it, although it was that at times, it could've been so much more as well. (I watched the directors cut in case anyone is wondering, haven't seen the theatrical version)
