IMAX 15/70mm film 1.43, IMAX Melb. -

First time seeing the print, and first time seeing 1.43 in film

IMAX Laser 1.90, IMAX SL - Saw this once alone, then once more with my family. Both fantastic experiences.

Obligatory inclusion, some of the best 1.43 IMAX sequences ever filmed.

Cemented in history as one of the greatest utilizations of both IMAX 1.43 and Dolby Vision + Atmos

Not Filmed for IMAX, IMAX 1.43 Dual Laser, IMAX Melb. - rare example of film not shot with IMAX cameras that can be projected in its largest aspect ratio. The 1.43 ratio is locked for the whole runtime, from the VistaVision 1.50 ratio which is not far off from the original, filled the entire screen with minimal cropping of ~5% of the image.

IMAX 1.43 Dual Laser, IMAX Melb. -

IMAX sequences were beautiful, first Dual Laser 1.43 experience.

Not filmed for IMAX, though VistaVision took advantage of the large screen in a way that helped sell its epicness. Left me wanting to see Lawrence of Arabia on the same screen.

More than anything, significant due to being the first time I went to a screening at the biggest IMAX I’ve been to, in Melbourne.

IMAX Dual Laser 3D, IMAX Melb. -
1.90 throughout, ~6 minutes of 1.43 content of Galactus and the Silver Surfer

MIFF @ IMAX Melb. - Not filmed for IMAX

MCL K11 Arthouse IMAX, not filmed for IMAX -

No 1.90 sequences, worst Mission film at the time of its release. w/ friends.

IMAX SL, Not filmed for IMAX -

No expanded AR. Waste of ticket money.

First and only screening at UA Airport IMAX. Only here because it was the first “IMAX” film I remember seeing, at a (now defunct) tiny airport Liemax, was awful, didn’t deserve an IMAX release. Put my grandparents to sleep haha.

Not filmed for IMAX.
