May
It’s late and there are tears streaming down my face from how relatable this film is to me especially because the main character is female despite being directed by a man and I hate this I hate how i relate to May so much. Her general weirdness the label of ‘freak’ just accompanying her wherever she went, the lack of social awareness being so behind socially unlike your peers that simple conversations haunt you because it’s so obvious that you don’t know how to do this and soon their going to find out that you’re not at all like them how you just want one person to see you. Just one. You just want the warmth of someone cradling you telling you it’s ok someone to love you the way you love them.
Trying to delude yourself that you even had a chance with that guy but it’s obvious he just takes pity on you, he knows all your quirks now the fact you don’t know how to kiss where to even put your hands. He’s going to tell all of his friends now about how much of a freak you are and your mother warned you about this always be on guard about your behaviour you’ll slip and they’ll catch you and mama won’t be there to hold you and support you.
You don’t have anyone at all and if even you do you can’t handle it and breakdown eventually ruining the one good thing you had.
I hate how much I relate to her.
