The Queen's Gambit

One of the best character developments I’ve seen in cinema, the way she resorted to chess, and then to the pills, and then to alcohol, and back to chess gave you that full circle moment. Beth Harmon is one of the most complex characters in cinema, you can’t decide whether you hate her or love her, in fact, she can’t decide either. I’m happy she got the ending she had, but i can’t help but question “what next?” the exact same question she asked that boy when he said he’ll be world champion at 16.
