The Lost Boys
This first feature film by Zeno Graton truly touched me. Very few words, short and seemingly futile exchanges between the characters, but in reality so much sensitivity transmitted by two young men attracted to each other. This film shows us the way in which two boys manage a homosexual relationship within a center for juvenile delinquents: this innocence of a budding love in a place where it’s objectively impossible to love each other in this way particularly moved me. However, we barely know anything about the two main characters’s life : their backgrounds, their sexuality (...) and this is what makes the plot all the more poetic and delicate. I will also remember the amazing songs selected in this film, notably “Holm” by Emel.
