best thing i've ever seen in my entire life and nothing will ever be on top
fresh new arrival to the list, and gets a higher rank because it's undeniable that he's improved over the years. i feel that vincent anderson and patrick melrose are similar characters and thus belong together in the top 5
i wish this wasn't one of like 2 not-absolutely-devestating roles he's done in his entire career

thoroughly enjoyed this movie for a wealth of reasons... visually stunning, perfect pace, and easy to follow. oh and it was benedict cumberbatch always a plus

i can't remember where i previously said this but this movie is the perfect example of how he manages to keep up with character arcs and changes without making it feel like it's a totally different person. the gradual evolution of strange's personality is so well played out and i just cannot get over how he handles the more emotional aspects of the character it makes me a little queasy because he's That Good

DOCTOR STRANGE CARRIED ‼️ bro did what had to be done and looked incredibly hot doing it.... aside from that, i just love his characterisation of stephen strange

cannot erase that scene of him all cosy in a puffer with his "what the 🦊" mug and slipping on the ice after floating down with cloaky so yes maybe i'm biased and what about it this is my list..

unbelievable acting from the whole cast, supporting the main characters so well which is almost definitely why i felt that benedict's acting was shining through particularly in scenes of more emotional weighting

starting to think i just adore the visual style and pace of these shorts because how much did he really do while lying on that bed before jumping up and spouting racisms.... lol but really there's a lot to be said when you can act well just using your face for the majority of the movie

would be lying if i said i didn't have to refresh my memory of the character via youtube IN MY DEFENCE i watched this not too long after its release it's been a while
can we please please please have benedict in more silly goofy roles i can't bear to watch him in heartbreaking devastating movies any longer he's just a silly goofy guy

almost ridiculous that i've put it this high because this was not my favourite series (i was only half invested in these 5eps) but i find that tietjens was a character with depth and emotion as opposed to 2d and surface level, but this isn't based on my personal enjoyment after all

run of the mill avengers ensemble movie tbf strange didn't feature enough for this to be higher up
honestly i just didn't follow this movie at all, maybe because it's not my personal preference of genre. but i cannot deny he kinda ate this role thank you for Diversifying your CV because how many more posh upperclass rich smart men are you going to play mr. cumberbatch

ok, ok put the pitchforks down i know it's not that low but this is a ranking based on His Acting Alone.... therefore, despite the horrendous overall plot and quite frankly, pathetic rest of the movie, he still gave what needed to be gave (i never want to see a StrangePalmer scene again it makes me throw up a little when he gets that look in his eyes)

honestly i'm thinking this needs to move higher up because the shitty script isn't his fault.....................
