My Dearest
I've said that historical genres are mostly disappointing for me but it definitely does not apply to this kdrama! It's been more than a week since I finished this but I still feel empty and daydream about the scenes from this series. My standards for a man has truly gone through the sky.
It's so rare to find a drama that involves every genre; historical, romance, melodrama, comedy, action and slice of life. My heartstrings tug everytime the couple interact. Their love story is so angsty and frustrating but it's so so good. A man like Janghyun is literally a dream. People complain about the female lead, Gilchae, but I truly feel that she is only doing what she wants, which is amazingly brave during that period of time.
Tears were wept, snots were wiped and hearts were broken. I'd 100% re-watch this kdrama in the future. I totally wish it was talked more internationally! So glad it's on Netflix now or else I'd keep delaying the watch lol.
