My Name

This was my introduction to Han Sohee as a main lead and gosh, she embodied this role. I remember this being my dad's first kdrama and he was locked in. It always feel empowering when a woman takes this kind of role and as a teenager, it just felt so cool to watch her take action. I can't lie but I predicted the plot-twist and I'm not mad about it because the build-up was executed well. And the fact that I was hesitant on hating the villain showed how complex the character was so the actor did really well in portraying the right emotions at the right time. Furthermore, I can't help but still hate the idea of putting an attractive man and a woman in a non-romance series together ...probably an unpopular opinion but it just wasn't needed. Still, a really memorable series!
