gatau lg mau ngomong apa ni film BAGUS BGT?! pretty sad that i didn’t get the chance to see it on the big screen, BUT HELL YEA THIS MOVIE IS FIRE amazing cinematography. love how they actually used REAL JETS to shoot everything. such a huge dedication from the crew and it really shows in the final result. great casting too, i can totally see the resemblance of goose in rooster. i teared up during every nostalgia scene. AND IDK I JUST REALLY LOVED THE FIRST MOVIE AND HAD HIGH HOPES BEFORE WATCHING THIS ONE AND IT STILL EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS?! love the chemistry between mav & rooster too. they portrayed the father-son dynamic so well. i really appreciated mav’s character development from the first movie. it shaped his principle, that the most important part of the mission wasn’t just completing it, but making sure the whole team came home alive. idk what to say anymore, i just blown away by the amazing visuals in every single second of this film. and i do love the vibes too, it gives off those warm 80’s feels. AND I LOVE THE SOUNDTRACK… hell yeah onerepublic nailed it with “i ain’t worried”. AND THE BEACH SCENE THO THATS MY FUCKING FAVORITE. ok, that’s it. i’ve yapped enough.

the score felt like a dump of mediocre hits. it has that typical inspirational-believer sporty movie storyline. but thank god that minor crap was overshadowed by the film’s stunning cinematography. i loved how well they maintained the tension throughout the movie. i’m a bit unsure whether jp and sonny were supposed to form a strong bond or not, because it felt way too shallow considering how much happened between them during the climax. their final arc could’ve gone way deeper. in contrast, sonny and ruben’s bond felt far more intimate and convincing. btw, i relate a lot to sonny. can’t really explain it much since the movie’s still running in theatres 😀

what a romcom. it’s such a solid feel-good movie. loved the chemistry between glen powell & zoey deutch. it really captures the whole dilemma of being in your mid-20s, struggling to balance life, juggling work, and trying to pursue a stable romantic relationship. it left me with a warm feeling afterwards. such a nice movie to wrap up my sunday night. and i cried over their sweetness. <3 here’s my fav line from the movie: you like “because”, and you love “despite” love isn’t about choosing someone who’s perfect and flawless. it’s about choosing them even when they’re messy, flawed, or just a little lost. and you know what? i bet being a little lost doesn’t feel so scary when you’re with someone who truly loves you.
