The Lighthouse

For the longest time I would call this Lovecraftian, but after seeing it for a second time, this feels way more like something Edgar Allan Poe would write. So I did a bit of “research” and apparently this started as more of a vanity project by Robert’s brother Max as an attempt to finish Poe’s The Light-House before Robert took over and rewrote the script. According to eapoe.org, it was likely Poe had passed away before actually finishing it. It consists of only a few diary entries from the perspective of an isolated wickie going mad but it’s a very interesting and an unfortunately short read. I definitely recommend checking it out for yourself.
